Orientation to Canberra Health Service
The first few weeks of your intern year will bring lots of questions and new experiences.
A comprehensive Orientation Program has been composed to best try and answer some of those questions.
Your Orientation program will run over 2 weeks commencing Monday 8th January 2024.
Things have changed a little since the COVID 19 restrictions have throttled back, and we are now back to face to face orientation as of January 2024, so this page is slightly less relevant. Due to this, some items on this page are slightly outdated and will be updated over time. You will be sent updated versions of this information directly so you don't miss out on anything.
Time has been allocated into the orientation program for you to complete all the eLearning requirements as well as watch the required pre-recorded videos.
The pre-recorded videos can be watched at any stage prior to orientation through the links at the bottom of this page.
All eLearning needs to be completed through the learning management system - HRIMS.
Once you have your act.gov.au account you will be able to commence the eLearning.

These channels are divided into Mandatory and Recommended videos.
All videos in the mandatory channel must be viewed.
The recommended videos contain lots of useful info, so you are strongly encouraged to review these as well.
